Grace, 14 lessons with Evan Excellent tutorĮvan has been tutoring my son with ISEE tests. I highly recommend the more focused and skilled private tutoring offered by Evan. My son simultaneously had taken a 2-month HSPT prep course at a local high school, and said that course was basically useless due to (1) the size of the class, and (2) wasted time on sections that he already knew/scored well. Evan worked with my son over the course of a few months on those sections and overall test taking strategies, and my son final scores for all sections were all in mid-90's to 99 percentile range, with a final Composite score of 99/Standard Score of 718. However, his Reading/Language Use sections were in the mid-80's range. In prior practice tests, my son already scored in the 98-99 range for Math and Quantitative sections. We engaged Evan to tutor our son for the HSPT high school entrance exam. ![]() Barbara, 41 lessons with Evan We engaged Evan to tutor our son He is very flexible and highly communicative. Uma, 12 lessons with Evan On the call and on point!Įvan has a great relationship with my son - he is usu on call and has helped with little notice on math and essay writing. Lisa, 15 lessons with Evan SAT tutoring reviewĮvan helped my son with SAT. ![]() I think his math tutoring helped her in her current grade as well. He was prepared and knowledgeable and I appreciate that he did not overload my daughter with an enormous amount of work upfront but slowly built her up over time so by the time of the test she knew what to expect and felt confident and did very well! We also appreciated his calm demeanor, and relaxed but thorough approach. I have a car, a clean driving record and passed a recent background check.Įvan helped my 8th grade daughter prepare for the ISEE over a few months after we realized there were some gaps in her math knowledge. In addition to traditional subjects, I can also teach refine study skills and impart effective test-taking strategies. In addition to tutoring all sections of many standardized tests (ACT / SAT / ISEE / HSPT / SCAT / SHSAT / ERB / CBEST / GRE), I can assist with college essays & applications, most school subjects including math (algebra/geometry), reading and writing. ![]() I offer free official test materials for every section of the SAT & ACT. I have taken SAT practice tests where I score a perfect 800 in math and 760 in verbal. Some examples have included home-schooling, tutoring at Huntington Learning Center and teaching SAT Math and Geometry in classroom environments (Top Learning Center and Perfect Score Academy). I have taught in all environments in ratios of 1:1 to 8:1. I'm a college graduate of Tufts University, Medford, MA and have passed my CBEST having worked with children for the past 15 years. In this example they both increase making the area bigger.I am an experienced (7000+ hours) tutor certified in over 30 subjects and have ranked in the top 1% of all Wyzant tutors for the last several years. The derivative is the rate of change, and when x changes a little then both f and g will also change a little (by Δf and Δg). When we multiply two functions f(x) and g(x) the result is the area fg: (cos(x)sin(x))’ = cos(x) cos(x) + −sin(x) sin(x)Īnswer: the derivative of cos(x)sin(x) = cos 2(x) − sin 2(x) Why Does It Work? We have two functions cos(x) and sin(x) multiplied together, so let's use the Product Rule: Example: What is the derivative of cos(x)sin(x) ? ![]()
